Well Water is quite simply ground water collected in quantity by a man-made device or structure.  A modern well in developed countries will usually be equipped with an electric pump to supply running water.  Well water is usually used in [[Rural|rural]] areas where there is no public water supply, or when someone wants water containing fewer contaminants (such as jet fuel and drugs) and free of water treatment chemicals.
