The Cold war is over and is no longer needed. Now we have the War on Terror to take its place. Besides that Russians didn't call themselves communists. Union of Soviet Socialist Republics never was communist, was it? It's socialistic just like the EU is today. Whatever their politics are though isn't what makes Russia a threat these days. It's their alliances with China, Iran, and Syria. All of those nuclear plants in Iran are mostly Russian designs. Socialism has been adopted by most western countries so that Russian socialism is no longer a threat to the West. What ended the Cold War was when the West adopted socialism in 1992. Didn't you know that? What do you think Globalism is?--[[User:Roopilots6|Roopilots6]] 21:54, 21 April 2007 (EDT)
