District of the East Midlands, [[England]]. North Lincolnshire is traditionally part of the Parts of Lindsey, {{Lincolnshire]], but was removed from that county in the administrative reforms of 1974 and transferred to the new county of [[Humberside]]. On the abolition of [[Humberside]] in the 1990s, North Lioncolnshire became a [[unitary authority]]. The main town is Scunthorpe; the district also includes the [[Isle of Axholme]], birthplace of the Wesley brothers, and the towns of [[Brigg]] and [[Barton upon Humber]], the latter place being the southern terminus of the [[Humber Bridge]].
