Foster is said to have committed [[suicide]] one day after President Bill Clinton took the unprecedented step of firing the head of the [[FBI]] which would be charged with the investigation of his death. In all probability, Foster did commit suicide, however many questions linger. The death was investigated no less than four times by the FBI, but lower level FBI field agents have been accused of involvement in the suspicious conditions surrounding the discovery of his remains. Foster served as Counsel to the President.
