The HRV [[Tanakh]] is translated primarily from the [[Hebrew]] [[Masoretic Text]] and uses footnotes to supply alternate readings from the [[Dead Sea Scroll]] manuscripts, the [[Samaritan Pentateuch]], the [[Septuagint]], the [[Aramaic]] [[ Tanakh]] and the Aramaic [[Targum]]s.
