The '''Dodge Viper''' is an American [[supercar]] made by [[Chrysler]] under the [[Dodge]] brand.  It is the first car in the world to be powered by V10.  The engine was originally designed to power the [[Dodge Ram]] truck.  The Viper is not favored by some European critics who deride it as primitive, despite its innovative features. In fact, the Viper outperforms its competition at a fraction of the cost. Some Europeans, however--Jeremy Clarkson of [[Top Gear]], for example--like it because of its simplicity.
