::I don't expect anyone to "buy that video" in its entirety. But I think he made a good point about "Brexit - the movie": both sides of the campaign used dubious claims, fear mongering, and made promises (ehem, aspirations) well knowing that they couldn't keep them. "Brexit - the movie" is just one example - it was sloppily researched. They state that a pillow is subject to 109 EU regulations, while in reality they only show that their were 109 regulations using the word pillow, like a classification of breakfast cereals cut into pillow shapes, or "pillow ball joints", etc.

Agreed. Dubious claims were made on both sides.

I think it is a complex situation. According to world surveys, German has a good reputation as far as places to live (like top 15 places to live [http://www.forbes.com/sites/susanadams/2015/07/15/the-worlds-most-reputable-countries-2015/2/#74a0b12832e4]). German industry needs workers. Merkel needs support of German businessman to be elected and campaigns to be funded. German unemployment rate is low.

On the other hand, there is high unemployment rate among the youth in Europe and immigrants from another culture/religion are not wanted by many due to terrorism and other inappropriate behavior (Cologne incident, etc.) so there is political dissent.

I think things in Europe are going to get worse before they get better. The same situation in the United States. And I think with Christianity growing in Africa/Asia/Latin America that those regions will get better although Christianization of culture takes time.
