Chad Jackson was drafted by the [[New England Patriots]] in the second round of the [[2006 NFL Draft]]. The Patriots traded their second round pick to the [[Green Bay Packers]] in order to switch draft spots with the Packers to move up in position to draft Jackson with the 36 overall pick of the draft. Chad had a great rookie camp with the Patriots but injured his hamstring sometime following the camp. He missed most of the Patriots 2006 training camp and never really had a chance to get into rhythm with the Patriots complex passing offense or quarterback [[Tom Brady]]. Jackson was on the Pats weekly injury report for almost all of the season but he still managed to contribute to the Patriots in his rookie season when he was healthy enough to play. He ended up playing in 12 games and starting 1 of them. He statically finished the season with 13 receptions for 152 yards and three touchdowns. In the 2006 AFC Championship game vs the [[Indianapolis Colts]].
