Bisphenol F is an organic chemical compound which is sometimes used in the production of plastics. The chemical formula of BPF is (HOC6H4)2CH2. This chemical is closely related to Bisphenol A (BPA) and Bisphenol S (BPS).

Location
Although less well-knows, BPS is in some plastics along with or in place of the better-known Bisphenol A. This means that it is in some plastic containers, soup cans, and potentially direct thermal paper (used for receipts, labels, etc.) and other paper product such as facial and bath tissue.

Health concerns
Like its "cousins" Bisphenol A and Bisphenol S, Bisphenol F is believed to be a xenoestrogen containing endocrine disruptor. Since this chemical has not been the focus of nearly as much study as Bisphenol A, there is little more published about it. However, since it is so closely released to BPA and BPS, it is fairly likely that also interferes with brain function and embryonic development.
