The best known islamic terror organization is [[Al-Qaeda]], or "the base". It was founded by [[Osama bin Laden]] and [[Ayman al-Zawahiri]] in [[Afghanistan]] during the 1980's. There are, however, numerous other terror groups including [[Islamic Jihad]], [[Hamas]] and the [[Shia]] [[Hezbollah]]. The [[Islamic State]] is seen as the most brutal organization, even al-Qaeda distances from it.<ref>http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-26016318</ref>
