Rather, conquering African tribes would sell the conquered tribesmen as slaves to other Africans. As human mobility increased (through shipping), slaves began being sold to other people, including Europeans. This more than anything else ''led'' to the racism of many, seeing Africans as lesser, since they were slaves. I think most people get the order of this backwards, and forget that their own neighbors started this abominable practice.
