| | We seem to be straining the meaning of "belief" here. Perhaps, Terry, you could explain how your somewhat bizarre definition of belief is related to the one in the dictionary? I mean, for instance, as a Christian, I believe in redemption through Jesus Christ. If I were to tell my children, "thats what I believe, but you decide" and then they decide NOT to believe that, are they still Christians?--[[User:JoyousOne|JoyousOne]] 17:16, 25 April 2007 (EDT) | | We seem to be straining the meaning of "belief" here. | | + | :Terry, Im sorry if I wasn't clear here...the answer to the above is "no". If they do not hold Christian beliefs, they are not Christians. If you do not believe in Scientology's teachings you are not a Scientologist. It is really too simple a concept to waste words on, and I'm not sure why you are parsing the meaning of belief so crookedly.--[[User:JoyousOne|JoyousOne]] 17:38, 25 April 2007 (EDT) |
