Line 1: Line 1: −
The '''Proclamation of 1763''' was a law passed by [[Britain]] concerning the [[13 American colonies]]. After the [[French and Indian War]], Britain wanted to ensure that the colonies would not be attacked by [[Native Americans]], so the Proclamation drew a line down the [[Appalachian Mountains]]. However, as many colonists had fought in the war and lost family, they were angry that they could not settle the land they had just fought for. Combined with the [[Intolerable Acts]], [[Stamp Act]], and [[Boston Tea Party]], the American colonists grew unhappy of the tyranny of [[King George III]], leading to the [[American Revolution]].
