A beginning
East Lothian is one of [[Scotland]]'s 32 local (unitary) council areas. It lies to the east of [[Edinburgh]] and Midlothian, and to the north of [[Borders]]. The administrative capital is Haddington (and it was formerly known as Haddingtonshire).

* Museum of Flight, East Fortune, home of Concorde and the monument to the failed Scottish space program of the 1970s (including the remains of the 'Big Jessie' rocket)
* North Berwick Law, a dormant volcano that last erupted in 1746. The whale's jawbones at the summit were gifted by the King of Hawaii to Captain Morgan in 1843
* Tantallon Castle, whose curtain wall is one of the highest free-standing Mediaeval objects in Scotland.
