Stalin wore trousers and had a moustache. Did he kill in the name of trouser wearing or facial hair? Of course not. Did he kill in the name of atheism? Of course not. Did he kill ANYONE who might pose a threat to his authority, be that people of faith,  the press, other politicians, trades unionists, members of his own party and senior military personell - IRRESPECTIVE of if they were theists or atheists?
