Pocket billiards

25 bytes added, 09:48, April 27, 2007
Pocket billiards is a pastime popular throughout the [[United Kingdom]]. It bears a similarity to billiards but involves only two balls. The cue is known as a tadger. The object of the game is to place ones own ball using the opponent's ball into each of the pockets around the table without sinking ones the opponent's ball. Games are timed and the player who can accumulate the highest score in fifteen minutes is deemed the winner. The pace of the game is faster than conventional billiards and often results in an exciting climax. The World Championship is held annually at the Guild Hall in [[Melchester]], [[England]].
