|Based on the 1969 Stonewall Riots, this film is a pro-homosexual film that pushes the homosexual agenda. It's rather ironically to note that the film, itself, is a victim of historical revisionism, offensive racial stereotypes, and exclusion of the representation of minorities, all because of the filmmaker's insistence of utilizing a white-savior story structure. While the filmmakers tried to defend their decisions, the film was overwhelmingly criticized by critics and audiences (even liberals, not surprisingly, hated the film) and failed to make its play for Academy Awards consideration.
