The band continued on after recruiting frontman Brian Johnson, who sounds similar to Scott. Johnson was a popular replacement and the band enjoyed success up to the mid-1980s. In addition to Johnson, the band consists of brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd. Malcolm Young has had to leave the band due to dementia. He has been replaced by Stevie Young, who also replaced Malcolm whilst he was undergoing treatment for alcoholism. Phil Rudd has been replaced by former drummer Chris Slade due to attempted murder charges.
