Is it just me, or does it not seem like there is a war on Christmas in the US? I'm an atheist, but I go caroling every year, decorate the Christmas tree, set up a nativity (just tradition), celebrated Christmas with small parties primary school, give presents, etc... in a pretty liberal part of the nation. The reason people write X-mas instead of Christmas is because social medias like twitter limit the number of characters allowed, not some conspiracy to secularize Christmas. I fully understand the religious importance of Christmas to Christians, I just don't see any attacks on Christmas here.
What this article doesn't mention is that there actually is a war on Christmas, in many places right now, but not in the US: Celebrating Christmas in any way is banned in Somalia recently, Brunei banned Christmas in 2014 upon adopting Sharia, in Saudi Arabia (always been illegal, practicing any religion besides Islam in public has always been illegal, Takikistan (a 2013 Russian TV show was not allowed to mention Santa Claus), and North Korea (South Koreans put up a Christmas tree at the border and North Korea got ''really'' angry).
