We're really not socialist.. We're under an actual Conservative government who are implementing Conservative policies. We're not "godless". We have a state church, for God's sake. Whiterose (talk) 19:43, 22 April 2017 (EDT)

:Whiterose, just because something may appear one way on the surface does not necessarily make it the case. The UK is currently run by the "Conservative" Party, but that's just the party's name. Sure there are probably quite a few actual conservatives in the party, but also many liberals. What we define on CP (and what should be defined anywhere) as "conservative" is what is listed on the article Conservative. There are many people in the "Conservative" Party who do not adhere to these views. Just because someone claims to be a conservative does not mean that we will blindly accept them as that in an attempt to forge a "big tent" ideology (even though I thnk we can have allies who do not necessarily agree with us).

:Now, moving on to the Anglican church, the same principle that reality is not necessarily how it looks also applies. Yes, the UK has a state church, but does having a state church equal a nation under the God of the Bible? No, it does not. Take a look at these articles I found just from a quick Google search: , , , The U.S. does not have a state church, and I think any observer will admit that theologically conservative (aka. theologically orthodox) Christianity is much stronger in the U.S. --1990'sguy (talk) 21:34, 22 April 2017 (EDT)
