When a page needs to be moved, the simple solution is to do what you did--cut the content from the source, and paste it in the destination. However, this method is generally discouraged. Doing this causes the edit history to be lost. Since you were the primary contributor to that page anyway, it is probably not major problem, but one other person did contribute and now is not getting credit. Besides, starting a page with a lot of content but no history can make some suspect plagiarism.<br />
If pages where you are the only contributor need to be moved, it is probably okay to use the cut-and-paste method, but if anyone else has contributed as well, please ask an administrator or assistant SysOp (such as myself) to perform the move properly.<br />
