Broad church is a term used in Anglicanism that describes churches in the Anglican Communion and other Anglican groups which feature some Anglo-Catholic elements and some evangelical elements during the liturgy. Many Anglican churches can be described as "broad church." Broad churches can lean in one direction, having many Anglo-Catholic elements yet a few concessions to evangelical worship, and vice versa.
One way to tell what kind of style an Anglican church adheres to is what they refer to their morning worship service as. If it is described as a "Mass," it is most likely an Anglo-Catholic parish. Broad church parishes tend to use "Eucharist," "Holy Eucharist," or "Holy Communion," while evangelical parishes tend to use "Lord's Supper."
