Steven Collins is the chief archaeologist of the Tall-el Hammam Excavation Project under the auspices of the Department of Antiquities of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,<ref>[http://digsodom.com/ Tall el Hammam Website]</ref> and so far this project has completed twelve seasons of excavations. Collins identifies Tall el-Hammam with the biblical [[Sodom]].
