==Life and Works==
Miller was born December 26, 1891, to working-class Bavarian-American parents, and was a bright child who enjoyed adventure stories and literary classics.<ref>http://www.biography.com/people/henry-miller-9408455</ref> He wrote ''Black Spring'' about his Brooklyn years, ''Tropic of Capricorn'' and ''Tropic of Cancer'', published in France because their sexual descriptions forced the U.S. and Britain to ban them, and ''The Air-Conditioned Nightmare'' (1945), a complaint about commercialization and capitalism.<ref>"Miller, Henry."
