|In the World War II era and then the early Cold War era (both times of great patriotism for America), archaeologist and adventurer Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones travels the world to search for artifacts of untold power and, along the way, combats some of America's most infamous enemies, including Nazis and Soviet communists. The first and third films contain Christian themes, too, since they are centered around the [[Ark of the Covenant]] and the [[Holy Grail]], respectively.
