:::JonnyAmerican, there are no benefits to video games. Much like popular television, modern music, and other forms of entertainment, there is no cultural enrichment. There really is no cognitive enrichment either. The content in many video games is questionable as best. It is essential that you realize that the games have no benefit in this regard, and any credible doctor would tell you the same.

:::As for ''Angry Birds'' and physics: it's a bogus claim as none of the contents are explicitly or even implicitly related to the discipline; it is claim some made with nothing to back it up. Surely no credible science teacher would use it as a teaching tool?--[[User:JamesWilson|James Wilson]] 16:29, 28 February 2012 (EST)

::::If I may interject, there is actually some benefits to video games. ''Super Battleship'' and ''Radar Mission'', for example, deals with teaching people the art of conducting strategy during warfare. Also, the game ''Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater'' covers some historical tidbits that are unlikely to be covered in the public school system or even the university system, such as the [[Katyn massacre]], the spy Oleg Pentrovsky and his death, as well as America planning to get rid of its silos in Turkey even before the Turkey Deal due to the silos being rendered obsolete, ergo cultural enrichment. The ''Zelda'' series also requires that the player conduct various puzzles in the dungeons in order to advance through the game, which last I checked is cognitive enrichment. Even the ''Dead or Alive'' series promotes the concept of family values and pro-American values. Besides, technically, under that argument, we could easily say books have no benefits either, since books led to stuff like ''The Social Contract'' by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and ''Das Capital'' by Karl Marx.
