|Despite being the sequel to the patriotic and to a certain extent Conservative film ''Independence Day'', the film, despite the title, does not actually promote the concepts of patriotism, American exceptionalism, or even mention national sovereignty at all. Instead, most of the movie seems to promote globalist-style government, and also has Doctor Okun being revealed to be a homosexual despite such never being implied in the original film. Also has some forced multicultural elements as well.
