On March 4, 2011 seven UK SAS (Special Operations Force) commandos and an intelligence officer were taken captive by jihadi rebels in Benghazi when they arrived ahead of time unannounced. The news became public, and is a clear violation of [[international law]], aggressive action and boots on the ground without UNSC vote on the proposed no-fly zone.
