|Composed of several heroes within Marvel Comics, the movie, despite being the first Marvel movie released by the Liberal conglomerate Walt Disney Company, has several condemnations towards totalitarian ideals, namely Loki's actions, as a pivotal scene had him forcing the Germans to kneel, and an old man refusing to do so and indirectly referencing Hitler and Nazi Germany's actions when explaining why he won't (as well as Captain America upon arrival referencing Hitler and Red Skull's attempt at taking the world via a similar ideology). The character Black Widow also implies that she wasn't particularly fond of her time as a Soviet agent due to having to conduct various atrocities. It also shows a positive depiction of law-enforcement due to their being tasked with defending New York City when Loki's army invaded. It also has a promotion of Christianity at one point, as Captain America, when about to pursue Thor, tells Black Widow "There's only one God, ma'am, and he doesn't wear that!" in an obvious reference to the biblical God.
