Skelly is controversial among Chrisitan evangelists because of his extreme  [[Arminianism]], where he believes it is possible to live a sinless life while still on Earth. Detractors of Skelly see this as a contradition of the Protestant doctrine of ''[[sola fide]]''.

Skelly is controversial among Chrisitan evangelists because of his extreme  [[Arminianism]], where he believes it is possible to live a sinless life while still on Earth. Detractors of Skelly see this as a contradition of the Protestant doctrine of ''[[sola fide]]''. Skelly has countered this claim by citing passages where [[Jesus]] said to "sin no more."

Places where Skelly has preached include  [[Harvard University]], [[University of Alabama]], [[University of Kentucky]], [[Kentucky State University]], and at concerts of performers such as [[Justin Bieber]], [[Toby Keith]], and [[Taylor Swift]].
