On June 26, 2015, the United States Supreme Court, in a 5-4 ruling in the case of ''[[Obergefell v. Hodges]]'', illegally claimed that same-sex "marriage" was "legal" in all 50 states, despite not having the power or authority to make such a ruling.<ref>[http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/06/26/supreme-court-same-sex-couples-can-marry-in-all-50-states/]</ref> As a result, local, state and federal laws (as well as state constitutional provisions) that distinguish between heterosexual marriage and same-sex "marriage" are claimed by same-sex "marriage" supporters to be  "unconstitutional" under the Fourteenth Amendment, even though, in fact, no such "right" to same-sex "marriage" exists in the Fourteenth Amendment or anywhere else in the Constitution.
