==Reorganization==
This article is badly out-of-date and does not reflect the fact that [[Donald Trump]] and [[Betsy DeVos]] have taken over leadership of the federal role in US public education. [http://www.conservapedia.com/index.php?title=Public_schools_in_the_United_States&diff=prev&oldid=1363386 I have started to reorganize the article]. Does anyone have objections to making it more aligned with current developments? I will add more about special education and pre-K.
