Gibbs' wife, the former Ann Marie Perkins (born c. 1950) is a graduate of Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of New Mexico at [[Albuquerque]]. Mrs. Gibbs has sung with opera companies in [[Santa Fe, New Mexico]], [[Baltimore]], and [[Houston, Texas|Houston]], [[Texas]]. Gibbs left the Metropolitan Opera upon his conversion to faith in [[Jesus Christ]]. He and Ann formed a traveling music ministry and have sung in churches all over the United States and in some foreign countries. Once retired from college teaching, the two resumed their traveling ministry.<ref name=bio/> A daughter, Christina Gibbs, joins her parents on tour on occasion.
