* [[Notre Dame]] star quarterback [[Brady Quinn]] falling to the 22 pick of the draft before being picked by the [[Cleavland Browns]]. Quinn was expected to be drafted with one of the top ten picks of the draft.
* [[Oakland Raiders]] talented, but troubled wide receiver [[Randy Moss]] got traded to the [[New England Patriots]] for the first of New England's two forth round draft picks. The Raiders used the pick to draft [[University of Cincinnati]] cornerback [[John Bowie]].
* For the last five years the [[Detroit Lions]] have drafted a wide receiver with four of their six first round picks. The Lions continued that trend by drafting star [[Georgia Tech]] wide receiver [[Calvin Johnson]] with the second pick of the draft.
* Winning quarterback's not being drafted high, or drafted at all: The 2006 Heisman Trophy winner, [[Ohio State University]] quarterback [[Troy Smith]] wasn't picked till the 174 pick. The BCS college football National Championship, [[University of Florida]], quarterback [[Chis Leak]] wasn't even drafted at all.
