This theory is false, it originated among activists who are not historians, and has been conclusively refuted by academic historians. Nevertheless it continues to proliferate in the popular and [[liberal]] (leftwing) media, supported by a range of unsound evidence, and defended by the vigorous abuse of any who dare to disagree.

The claims were first put forward by '''Rüdiger Lautmann''' (b.1935), a German homosexual /pedophile activist. Lautmann is not a historian, merely a lecturer in sociology at the University of Bremen, who has spent much of his career campaigning to legalise pedophilia.
