:::::I do see the differences between these two (listed here: https://www.diffchecker.com/49fnIo4C), but in the long run, do they make that much of a difference?  Can't we let the reader decide what view to take?  I don't trust Putin either, but the fact these people are using obscene activities to convey their message still stands.  Perhaps focusing on them and their activities rather than Putin's is the best idea?

Didn't Conservative suggest the man in the picture was a cowardly unionized firefighter. Most of the firefighters on 9/11 were unionized and they rushed into those buildings knowing fine well that the odds of them coming out alive were slim.
