Basically the problem with this article and the discussion regarding falsifiability is that what a Black Hole is, is not clearly defined in the introduction. A Black Hole is a hypothetical mathematical construction, based upon the general theory of relativity, which is claimed to have been observed by astronomers but has not been scientifically established as proved to exist. Both the mathematical foundation, and the reported observations, are disputed and hence not scientifically validated. So Black Holes are a hypothetical scientific speculation. The general theory of relativity is the subject of intense controversy due to its establishment on the assumptions of the special theory of relativity, which has been shown to be false and contradictory. There are also many published disproofs of the mathematical basis of Black Holes which claim that the mathematical constructions behind the Black Hole theory are faulty. The observational evidence claiming that Black Holes have been detected depends completely upon the correctness of the mathematical basis of Black Holes, which is currently disputed, so not fully and completely proven, since there is no reliable evidence to suggest that these speculative objects actually exist. Hence the existence of Black Holes is merely an assertion that a hypothetical entity does exist as constructed mathematically although both the underlying theory and the supporting astronomical observations have been hotly disputed.
