'''Martin Gardner''' is a popular science and math writer. Among his other accomplishments, he is well known for having written ''Mathematical Games'', a column in [[Scientific American]]. In his regular columns, Gardner introduced the general public to [[John Conway]]'s [[Game of Life]], [[Flexagon]]s and other topics. Gardner has also written on a variety of non-mathematical topics. His books include ''Fads and Fallacies in the Name of Science'' one of the most popular books ever written about scientific skepticism, and ''The Flight of Peter Fromm'', a work of fiction about a young man wrestling with his Protestant upbringing. Gardner identifies as a non-Chrisitian theist.
