'''Ian Huntley''' is a convicted double murderer in the [[United Kingdom]] who now identifies as a woman. He is an example of a dangerous and violent [["transgender"]] person. Known as the "Soham killer" after he killed two 10-year-old schoolgirls, Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, in 2002. Since conviction he has been confined in Frankland prison in Durham, serving a 40-year sentence. Fellow-prisoners alleged that he was interested in a sex-change in order to escape the tough Frankland prison to a "cushier" women's prison. If permission is granted, the UK National Health Service will be liable for the £100,000 costs of his sex-change surgery because of the Gender Recognition Act 2004.
