Later that night Wednesday January 11, DNI [[James Clapper]] issued a press statement noting that he had just now briefed President-elect Trump on the dossier moments before. Clapper's press release stated, “The [[IC]] has not made any judgment that the information in this document is reliable," yet Clapper's intelligence community used that same dossier with no other evidence to obtain a FISA warrant for direct surveillance of the Trump campaign three months earlier.
