The Battle of Bunker Hill was fought on June 17, 1775 between The revolutionary forces commanded by [[General Israel Putnam]], and the British forces under [[Major General William Howe]].  It is considered by many to be the bloodiest battle of the [[American Revolutionary War]]. "DONT SHOOT 'TILL YA SEE THE WHITES OF THEIR EYES!" [[General Israel Putnam]]

[[Major General William Howe]] was determined to take Charlestown but was repelled and again and again before succeding but with very heavy loses.
