Firstly the maximum penalty is 10 years imprisonment but no one has ever, in NZ history, been subject to that maximum. Even those in possession of child...images or movies (you know what I mean but the filter blocks the word used). Secondly there is no such thing as 'government approved' media and almost all of NZ's media is independent of the government so the sentence is completely wrong.
