The kilt is part of the traditional clothing of [[Scotland]]. It consists of heavy fabric wrapped around the waist of the wearer down to knee length and ordinarily sports a tartan pattern specific to the wearer's clan. [[Image:JackMcConnell.png|right|thumb|Jack McConnell. 3rd.First Minister of Scotland 2001-2007. A leading figure in the implementation of the alleged homosexual agenda in Scotland, wearing a kilt.]]

The kilt should not be confused with the skirt, which is of a far lighter fabric and can be of varying length, and generally worn by females.

Traditionally the kilt is worn without underwear, although this is often ignored by modern wearers.

Green kilts are worn in Ireland; and male apparel in other parts of the world has also beed decsribed as kilts.
