Williams was arrested by the Mexican police in June 2013 in Playa del Carmen, a locality south of Cancun, and charged with pedophile offenses over a number of years. He was sent back to Los Angeles, to face trial for those and the offenses in the Philippines. After analyzing his computer the Department of Justice issued an official statement saying that Williams contacted underage boys online and then when he met them engaged in sex acts with each of them over a webcam. He circulated these videos and "sexually explicit photos" of the boys to other homosexuals, according to the DOJ.

"I analyzed the computers and the camera that belong to Williams and found child pornography," Jeff Yesensky, FBI special agent, said. "Because of his status, he has the means and access to children, and that's what makes him dangerous. He preys on the most vulnerable children."
