→Video games don't cause violence
From what I know video games themselves don't cause violence, they are other factors like the players mental state and how they value human life, also if video games do cause violence the same can be said for movies. What person would be like "I see human life as valuable and I am mentally sane, but I just play GTA and now I want to do a mass shooting", I know it's a bit of a strawman but I need to make the point that just playing video games won't cause violences.

:Fully agreed. I've played plenty of Metroid Prime, and I had no desire to do a mass shooting. Now, that being said, we should give video games the kind of caution we give books, TV shows, and movies, because while those mediums by themselves don't necessarily cause mass shootings or mass riots, specific messages in those mediums actually can orchestrate them. Like the French Enlightenment's works or Marx's Das Kapital, for example, or Brian de Palma's Redacted. [[User:Pokeria1|Pokeria1]] ([[User talk:Pokeria1|talk]]) 10:37, 6 August 2019 (EDT)
