Attorney General Bruce Ohr, the fourth highest ranking DOJ official, that the ''[[Steele dossier]]'' was funded by the [[2016 Clinton campaign]] and the [[Democratic National Committee]], that the dossier memos were political opposition research, and used the uncorroborated allegations anyway as the basis to open an FBI counterintelligence investigation and seeks FISA warrants from the FISA court.
