''Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam'' (also rendered in some cases as ''Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam''; in Latin the "j" functions as an "i") is a Latin phrase meaning "For the Greater Glory of God".
It is a phrase commonly used as the motto of Catholic institutions (notably those associated with the [[Jesuit]]s); however, interestingly it is also the motto for the Southern Baptist-affiliated [[Prestonwood Christian Academy]].
