Ilhan Omar speaking at the terrorist-linked [[Council on American-Islamic Relations]] (CAIR) conference remarked the organization was founded because "some people who did something."<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrql_Sb30B8</ref>  At that years Ground Zero ceremonies the son of a murder victim said there should be no confusion on who attacked the United States and killed almost 3,000 people.
