==Hominids vs apes==
My recent edit, a single word change, was reverted, and I'm not clear as to why. The article currently reads that humans evolved from ancient apes. This is a misleading statement. My phrasing was that humans evolved from ancient hominids. Of course, humans, hominids, as well as gorillas, chimpanzees, and orangutans are all "apes", but no biologist suggests that modern humans evolved directly from other extant groups of apes, but that we descend from the now extinct hominid branch.
