He lives a secret double life, posing as the "mild-mannered reporter" Clark Kent. He specifically works in the news [[media]] so he can more easily hear about and attend the scenes of crimes. He also has several Kryptonian relatives that also attempt to protect the Earth as well, including his cousin Kara Zor-El (known as Supergirl), who had been a survivor of Krypton's initial destruction until the settlement she originally inhabited got obliterated, as well as Kara Zor-L (an alternate reality version of Kara Zor-El who arrived at Earth much later in life and thus had a significantly more mature appearance, known as Power Girl), and Superboy (a partial clone of Superman).
